Elf on the Shelf Day 4

That stupid, silly, stubborn, slippery, sneaky, sabotaging, surprising, spooky Elf sitting on our touch screen tv. He snuck into our classroom and is trying to make us take him to patrol day and get us into trouble with Santa.

Today is day 3 of the naughty Elf

Today when my class and I came and sat on the mat we saw the Elf with Mrs P's favourite purple white board marker. With the white board marker Elf had written '' This is an Ugly colour'' with scribbles all around it and he had even broken the pen. I think Elf wrote that because Mrs P says everyday that it is a pretty colour and it gets really annoying, so I think I'm on Elf's team this time. 

Tonight I think that Elf is going to destroy the classroom and going to make a huge mess but let's hope he doesn't. 

Elf on the Shelf Day 2

Today is Day 2 of the Elf. Today when we came into class after our assembly we found Elf sitting by the papers with a poi on his head, a puipui on, tamoko on his face and black clothes around him because yesterday was the Kapa Haka festival and we had to wear black clothes. Definitely lot's of things have changed with the Elf and hopefully something exciting again happens tomorrow with Elf.

Elf on the Shelf Day 1

Yesterday we wrote about an Elf that magically popped up in our class with a little note. On the little note it was saying who sent him and why he was here. Every day my class and I will be making a blog post on how Elf has been and what has changed about him.

Contractions

Today we learnt about contractions. Contractions are two words joined together to make a new word. The word is shorter by adding a apostrophe where a letter or letters have been left out.

Kids Club Rules

 Today we learnt about the rules of 'C' and 'K', We had to do some examples and write the rules and make our own slide with all of the rules and some examples. 

personification

Today we learned about personification. personification means when making something alive with the words you provide.

Their, They're, There Homophone's

Today we learned about their, they're, there homophones.We had to drag the right sentences into each word box and then wrote our own sentences with 'Their, They're and There' in it.

Homophones

Today we learned about Homophones and about what they mean. 

Homophones are where the words mean something different but they sound the same.

Blog Commenting

Today we watched a video and had to write a good positive comment about it.

Build a Blog Comment

Today we learned about how to do a good blog comment and what to say in it. For a good comment you have to add a greeting, something you loved and a question at the end.

Alliteration

Today we learnt about Alliteration and about what it means, here is my example.

My crazy tongue twisters

Today for our reading activity we did tongue twisters and learning about illeration, It was really fun and a quick and cool activity to do.
